Salus Apartments
Salus owned apartments offer independent living environments with varying degrees of community support for adults who have a severe and persistent mental illness.
Salus apartments provide tenants with the opportunity to develop skills necessary to be successful in gaining independence, maintaining their own living accommodations and integrating into the larger community.
WHO SALUS APARTMENTS SERVE
Adults (16 years and older) living in the Ottawa area who:
- Are recovering from a serious mental illness
- Have a mental health support worker
- Are willing to work collaboratively with fellow residents, support worker, and community developer
- Are willing to meet tenant obligations
SALUS APARTMENTS OFFERED
Unfurnished bachelor and one-bedroom apartments are available and most include an on-site resource centre for tenants. Fridge and stove are included in all apartments.
SALUS APARTMENTS LOCATIONS
Convenient locations in Ottawa Centertown and West End Ottawa close to shopping and public transportation. Where available, on-site resource centres are staffed 30 to 35 hours per week or, on an as needed basis. In addition, tenants can contact Salus staff after business hours through the tenant on-call service.
